Case 3 - Spent
Spent is an online educational video game. It is designed to take the user through the reality of what it would be like to make it through a month with starting with only $1000 with no other savings and no job. It educates and makes aware the user that there are people who are each day going through these real-life struggles. It hopefully will motivate users to donate, volunteer, and raise awareness to help those in poverty. I did an analysis of the game and how it could be used in the classroom along with summaries of research articles supporting the educational value of serious video games.
